About PetrolDiesel.co.uk
Why this exists
Built because finding a useful answer was harder than it should be
Fuel prices move, local differences matter and the cheapest sign is not always the best journey. PetrolDiesel started as a personal frustration with comparison sites that stopped at presenting a feed.
PetrolDiesel is a product of Dev The Dan Ltd. Behind the company is Dan, a software developer who likes building tools that make everyday decisions clearer. The launch of the official Fuel Finder service created a rare opportunity to do more than repeat public rows of data.
The goal is to enrich that source responsibly: preserve what was reported, expose freshness and limitations, then add the location structure, comparisons and station detail that help a driver decide where to fill up.
Source data, made useful
Enrichment should help the driver, not blur the evidence
Fuel Finder supplies the official foundation. PetrolDiesel adds structure and explanation while keeping source values and limitations visible.
Keep the source visible
Reported prices, source times and quality outcomes stay distinct so a polished page never hides uncertainty.
Add decision context
Averages, trends, comparisons and per-tank framing turn isolated price rows into questions drivers can answer.
Make places navigable
Canonical towns, regions and station pages make it easier to move from a national picture to a real forecourt.
Built for real coverage
A growing product, honest about its limits
Coverage changes with the official source and our website quality rules. Live counts are shown when the underlying read models are available, not written into marketing copy forever.
