Our current use of cookies and storage
PetrolDiesel.co.uk does not currently set advertising cookies, social-media tracking cookies or cross-site profiling cookies. Vercel Web Analytics is cookie-free. The website uses local storage in your browser for recent destinations and privacy choices.
Local storage is a small area on your device that a website can read on later visits. It is not sent automatically with every web request in the way a traditional cookie can be.

How anonymous analytics works
Vercel Web Analytics records page views and aggregate dimensions such as page path, referrer, coarse location, device type, browser and operating system. Query strings and page fragments are removed before events are sent. We do not configure custom events, advertising measurement or user profiles.
We use the statistics solely to improve PetrolDiesel.co.uk. We rely on the UK statistical-purpose exception, which permits aggregate service-improvement analytics without prior consent when clear information and a simple, free objection are provided. Turn the analytics control off above at any time and future events from this browser will be blocked by our site code.
Recent destinations
When you choose a town or forecourt from site search, we can save the destination locally so it appears as a quick route next time. We keep no more than three entries and automatically remove entries older than 90 days. The stored record does not include the live price displayed in the suggestion.
This information remains in your browser and is not sent to our database. You can clear it from the search panel, use the controls above, or clear site data in your browser.
Why there is no cookie banner
A disruptive consent banner is not necessary for the technologies currently used. Local preference storage supports functions you request, and our analytics is configured for aggregate statistical improvement with a visible opt-out. We do not treat this as permission to add advertising or profiling tools.
If a future feature requires consent, it will not run until an appropriate choice has been requested.
Browser and device controls
Browsers let you inspect, block or delete cookies and local storage. Blocking storage may prevent recent destinations and privacy choices from being remembered, but core price pages and manual search should continue to work. Clearing site data resets the controls above to their stated defaults on that device.
Future technologies and changes
We will update this inventory before introducing a materially different analytics, advertising, email or personalisation technology. This page will explain the provider, purpose, information used, duration and available control.
