Petrol rose 1.8p/l, from 172.9p/l on 20 September to 174.7p/l on 19 October. Diesel rose 3.2p/l, from 196.1p/l on 20 September to 199.3p/l on 19 October. Super unleaded rose 2.6p/l, from 189.7p/l on 20 September to 192.3p/l on 19 October. Premium diesel rose 2.9p/l, from 215.7p/l on 20 September to 218.6p/l on 19 October. Petrol: the wider move is up, although prices turned downward in the latest stretch, falling 0.7p/l from 5 October to 19 October. Diesel: the rise was not continuous: prices fell 0.9p/l from 4 October to 16 October before moving higher again. These are regional averages, so individual towns and forecourts can move differently.
